The main difference lies in mobility and regulation.
A mobile home is equipped with wheels and is governed by the Ministère des Transports du Québec and Transport Canada.
A permanent modular complex, on the other hand, is installed on a foundation, without wheels, and is governed by the Quebec Building Code, as well as having to comply with CSA A277 certification. Both options offer a high level of comfort, but respond to different contexts of use.
Yes. Usitech accommodation units are designed for extended occupancy, summer and winter alike. Thanks to high-performance insulation, heating and ventilation systems adapted to Quebec’s climate, and functional layouts, they ensure lasting comfort, even in remote areas.
Layouts are fully customizable according to the number of workers and length of occupancy. Units can include bedrooms or dormitories, full kitchens, bathrooms, dining areas, common areas, laundry rooms and storage spaces.
Lead times vary according to the configuration and scope of the project. In some cases, design, manufacture and delivery can be completed in 3 to 4 weeks. Usitech works closely with its customers to establish a realistic schedule adapted to operational constraints.
